Objective:
The intent behind this project was to create an engaging learning tool that combines language acquisition with cultural exploration. Designed to be both educational and interactive, the alphabet encourages curiosity through visual design and technology. Each tile features a QR code that, when scanned with a smartphone, reveals the French word, its English translation, and a cultural explanation, fact, or anecdote. For more advanced learners, the alphabet also supports word games and language-building exercises based on the letter of choice.

Methodology:
Each letter and its corresponding illustration were created in Adobe Illustrator, while the QR codes were generated and formatted using Adobe InDesign. The entire alphabet was printed on high-quality photo paper and mounted on sturdy presentation board using double tack mounting film. To house the tiles, I built a custom box from wood panels, making the piece both portable and durable. The QR codes were color-coded in blue, white, and red—an homage to the French national flag.
